Ingredients
  

  • 2 medium ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or walnuts optional

Method
 

  1. Mash bananas and mix with butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  2. Fold in flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until just combined.
  3. Add chocolate chips or walnuts if using.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 22 to 26 minutes until set.
  5. Cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for best sweetness.
  • Do not overmix after adding flour.
  • Cool fully before cutting for clean slices.
  • Store in airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Freeze individually for up to 2 months.
