Mix all meatball ingredients in a bowl until just combined. Do not overmix.
Roll into 1.5-inch balls, making about 18 to 20 meatballs total.
Sear the meatballs in a hot skillet with olive oil for 4 to 5 minutes per side until golden. Set aside.
Cook garlic in the same skillet for 1 minute, then add sun-dried tomatoes and stir for 1 more minute.
Add chicken broth, heavy cream, parmesan, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.
Return meatballs to the skillet, cover loosely, and simmer on medium-low for 10 to 12 minutes until cooked through.
Serve hot with fresh basil and extra parmesan on top.
