Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast in warm milk with a little sugar.
  2. Mix dough ingredients and knead until smooth.
  3. Let dough rise until doubled.

  5. Roll up, cut into buns, and let rise again.
  6. Bake until golden and drizzle with glaze.
